Position: Project Lead x 1 Location: Harare Deadline: 14 July 2020 Pangaea Zimbabwe AIDS Trust (PZAT) is an independent Zimbabwean entity registered as a local Trust in August of 2012 (MA/909/2012). PZAT strives to transform the lives of people living with and affected by HIV by working to ensure their access to comprehensive HIV and sexual health services delivered in safe and supportive environments. PZAT as a partner in the ZimPAAC consortium has been working with the MOHCC to improve access to HIV prevention, care and treatment services for key and priority population groups in Zimbabwe and is expanding current programming to additional Districts in Matebeleland North.   Job summary The Project Lead will be based in Harare and will directly support the Senior Technical Advisor and Country Director in the design, roll-out and day-to-day management and implementation of all Districts’ HIV prevention, care and treatment activities to Key populations (KP) and Adolescents Girls and Young Women (AGYW); providing technical thought leadership, strategic planning and relationship management of key stakeholders.   Duration October 2020 to September 2021(contract based and renewable annually)   Key duties and responsibilities; Working closely with the Project Coordinator, the Project lead will provide overall technical oversight of the Project, including support for the design, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of HIV prevention, care and treatment program activities addressing the needs of KPs and AGYW; Lead, design and implementation of program activities focused on community awareness, behavior change and economic strengthening as it relates to AGYW and KPs access to quality health care; Ensure program activities are evidence-based, adapted to local context and reflect state-of-the-art knowledge and best practices for provision of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment to KPs and AGYW; Supervise and coordinate activities of technical staff at Head Office and serve as a technical advisor to field level counterparts; Establish and facilitate close working ties with community district health offices, and other key partners focused on HIV and health service integration and support of KPs and AGYW services; Document program activities and results and contribute to technical deliverables generated by the project required by funder; Represent the Project at national, regional, and international “knowledge sharing” forums; participate in national technical working groups and collaborate with other technical partners.   Qualifications, experience, and key competencies required A degree in Medicine from a recognized institution; A post-graduate qualification in Public Health, epidemiology or a related field, with specific emphasis on community-level health promotion and/or education is a distinct advantage; Minimum three years’ experience in designing, implementing and monitoring large-scale HIV prevention, care, treatment and support programs; Prior experience in building capacity for key populations and health care providers in improving health through the use of participatory methodologies for planning and implementing local-level activities; A proven Key populations thought leader, technical Influencer, team and relationship builder, demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based and structural HIV prevention care and support interventions for key populations and linkage to services, and approaches to economic strengthening of AGYW; Excellent interpersonal, training, facilitation, team building and problem solving skills. Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV prevention, care, and treatment of KPs and AGYW; Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain professional relationships and to work collaboratively with government counterparts and civil society organizations; Excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge of local languages required; Demonstrated familiarity with the Zimbabwe health system at all levels, with a unique understanding of decentralized (district, community, and site-level) program management, service delivery, and demand creation structures; Willing to travel to project sites in Zimbabwe (up to 25% of the time).   To apply Interested candidates should submit their application letter and detailed CV, clearly stating the position being applied for in the subject section of the email to: admin@pzat.org by close of business on Friday 14 July 2020. The Wild4Life program, housed within the administrative infrastructure of Pangaea Zimbabwe AIDS Trust focuses on building capacity for health facilities and communities to improve health outcomes among rural populations through integrated mentorship targeting multidisciplinary facility teams, community health workers and health centre committees, integrated outreaches in hard to reach areas, implementation of differentiated service delivery models and application of continuous quality improvement tools and techniques. Job summary The Program Support Officer will be based in Binga and will report to the Program Manager. The incumbent will support the Community Support Officer in coordinating VHWs activities and children support groups. Duration August 2020 to July 2021(contract based and renewable annually) Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for logistical support to the program; Administering facility check list ascertaining and mobilizing resources for repair; Taking a lead in facility renovations/maintenance/support; Administer and analyze client satisfaction survey tools; Compilation of activity reports by bringing together all activity reports for the month; Co-ordinate procurement procedures in conjunction with the Finance Officer gathering quotation and doing bid comparisons; Coordinate the production of IEC materials and distribution to the facilities; Offer support to the M& E officer by collecting and verifying reports before they are uploaded into the data base; Support the Community Support Officer in coordinating VHWs activities and children support groups; Procurement and distribution of food hamper to VHWs on a quarterly basis; Coordinate logistics for all trainings to be conducted gathering quotations and making sure all logistics are in place before the training is held; Liaise with program officers for the logistical support needed for program implementation; Attend to stakeholder meetings e.g. DAC, RDDC; Any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager/Director. Qualifications, experience and key competences required A minimum Degree in Public Health, Social sciences or equivalent;  A Nursing Diploma or Community Nursing Diploma is an added advantage; Excellent Computer skills, excel and knowledge of HIV and AIDS indicators;  Excellent interpersonal skills and oral communication and writing skills, including experience in working as part of a team;  A good understanding of the M&E systems used by Ministry of Health and Child Care;  Working experience in an NGO sector is a prerequisite;  A clean class 4 driver’s license.   Please send in your application and CV no later than 17:00hrs on the 14 July 2020 to admin@pzat.org.
