PZAT, which is the Monitoring, Evaluation, Results and Learning (MERL) hub for COMPASS Africa seeks to hire a competent MERL officer to join the team. Job summary The MERL officer will be based in Harare and provides support to the MERL Programme Coordinator. S/he is responsible for ensuring that all information and data from project activities across the COMPASS Africa coalition are captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner for internal and external reporting according to the MERL Management Plan and at the direction of the Program Coordinator. The role of the lead consultant on the PrEP costing study is two-fold.  First, s/he will be tasked with collecting and managing the necessary quantitative data on the costs associated with the PrEP service delivery including both PrEP ring and oral PrEP, allocating costs to each PrEP intervention.  In addition, the lead consultant will play a key role in data analysis of all the costing data in Zimbabwe. Microbicide Research and Development (R&D) to Advance HIV Prevention Technologies through Responsive Innovation and Excellence (MATRIX) is designed to positively accelerate early R&D for new HIV prevention products by providing an innovative ecosystem in which early-stage HIV prevention technologies can be advanced. MATRIX aims to expedite R&D of products for prevention of HIV in women and meet the unmet needs of women at risk of HIV through engagement of those who are most impacted by HIV by identifying HIV prevention product preferences, needs and priorities to inform technical decisions. This will also be achieved through engaging with relevant stakeholders, end-users and key influencers in relevant locations. Job Summary PZAT is looking to engage a full-time Project Coordinator to manage the day-to-day activities under MATRIX project based in Zimbabwe. Knowledge and experience in HIV & AIDS program monitoring and evaluation. Experience in Capacity building and mentoring to promote community-facility linkages is required. Excellent planning and organizational skills, Competent in multi-level stakeholder engagement; Advanced oral & written communication skills, Proficient in computers and Microsoft packages; Comprehensive knowledge of computer software to support program implementation. Excellent participatory training skills, inter-personal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively is key. Excellent writing, reporting and presentation skills, including fluency in English and one or more of the local languages spoken (e.g. Shona and/or Ndebele) is an added advantage.
