Pangaea Zimbabwe AIDS Trust (PZAT) is leading the implementation of the Maximizing Options to Advance Informed Choice for HIV Prevention (MOSAIC) project in Zimbabwe. MOSAIC, a five-year (2021-2026) global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has a goal to help women prevent HIV by accelerating the introduction and scale-up of new and emerging biomedical prevention products. To achieve this goal, MOSAIC has identified five strategic priorities which are:
Under strategic priority number 5 on strengthening and sustaining local partner capacity for MOSAIC, PZAT seeks to engage community-Based/ Civil Society Organizations (CBOs/CSOs) (as defined under section 5 of this call) that will be provided with capacity-strengthening activities focusing on technical and research competencies, including in community/youth engagement, community mobilization, community education/literacy on biomedical HIV prevention options, Psychosocial support activities to support the uptake and effective use of PrEP, advocacy, and demand creation. Successful CBOs/CSOs will also be provided with subgrants to perform some of the essential functions that support the introduction of HIV prevention products.
