Definate Nhamo is currently completing her PhD, holds an MSc in Strategic Management and a BA hons in Sociology. She has spent over two decade working on increasing access to Sexual Reproductive Health services (SRH) and facilitating HIV/AIDS care and treatment to female adolescents in Zimbabwe in both research and program delivery settings. She was the 2014 AVAC fellow for Zimbabwe and her work continued to focus on improving SRH access to young women including HIV prevention technologies. She is very passionate about improving SRH access as well as increasing new HIV prevention technologies’ (oral PrEP and vaginal rings) access to young women. She is involved in the Global Fund and PEPFAR processes in Zimbabwe. She is a member of the HPTN scientific committee and is passionate about scaling up proven interventions from research to roll out, works in policy advocacy and Monitoring and Evaluation.
