HIV Prevention Champions Training
23 March 2023Pangaea Zimbabwe AIDS Trust conducted an Adolescent HIV Prevention and Treatment Implementation Science Alliance (AHISA) Implementation Science Training with twelve members of the Maximizing Options to Advance Informed Choice for HIV Prevention (MOSAIC)Youth Advisory Board.
PZAT Executive Director, Imelda Mahaka, explained that “Young people need ongoing meaningful engagement with research and researchers to inform how studies are done” while giving her opening remarks.
Associate Dean for research, OHSU PSU School of Public Health, Dr. Marguerita Lightfoot, PZAT Executive Director, Imelda Mahaka, PZAT MOSAIC Project Lead, Dr. Emily Gwavava, Dr. Constancia Mavodza and Dr. Chido Dziva Chikwari, Co-Leads for the Training, Mentorship, and Internships Health Research Unit Zimbabwe at the Biomedical Research and Training Institute facilitated several sessions on what is Implementation Science, Introduction to Adolescents and Young people, and Introduction to Research and Research Methods.
